Data Analyst – Credit Risk & Collections
Be part of an international team that develops and operates the Credit Risk & Collection Management solutions for the Deutsche Telekom Group and external clients.
Within the Credit Risk & Fraud Management team, you will play a key role in managing Telekom Germany’s credit risk exposure (volume: > €2 billion per year).
You will contribute to the development of Credit Risk & Fraud Services as a Shared Service, helping to expand our service portfolio across all members of the DTAG Group and to external market customers. Your work will focus on analyzing and interpreting complex data to support business decisions in the credit risk environment.

Data Analyst – Credit Risk & Collections
Your responsibilities will include:
Job Content/Responsibilities:
• Analyzing Business Data: Investigate and analyze transaction data in our risk environment to identify patterns and trends to improve business processes
• Create, maintain and improve Reporting Structures: You will help develop, optimize, and implement (automated) reporting solutions to minimize credit risks and proactively prevent fraud for Deutsche Telekom.
• Collaborate with teams & other departments: Work closely with various internal departments such as IT, Credit Risk & Fraud Management, Collection Management, Commercials or Legal/Compliance to ensure that our processes align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
• Data and Business Understanding: Gain deeper understanding of our risk environment and multiple sources, to validate and scrutinize existing business processes to ensure data quality
• Visualization: Present and visualize analytical findings and make recommendations that support Credit Risk and Fraud Prevention
What we expect from you:
- Education:
• Preferably a bachelor’s/master’s degree in the fields of Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Process Mgmt, or a related field with working experience
• Alternatively, at least three years of professional experience in the mentioned fields - Experience:
• You are eager to learn or already have specific experience/understanding of business processes regarding Credit Risk & Fraud Prevention (e.g. eCommerce, Telecommunications, …) incl. regulatory requirements.
• You have an interest in gaining technical knowledge regarding risk scenarios (Credit Risk & Fraud) in eCommerce.
• You have analytical skills and want to gain further technical understanding
• You have experience in data handling.
• Experience working efficiently in interdisciplinary teams is a plus.
• An interest in machine learning is a plus. - Languages:
• English - advanced (C1, no certificate necessary)
• German – B2, eager to improve - Skills:
• Computational Thinking: Fast learner and thinker
• Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and make well-informed decisions based on data interpretation and business requirements as well as willingness to challenge theories (even your own) and deep dive into processes to understand and interpret raw and processed data
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify complex patterns using data and deep process understanding
• Technical Skills: Experience with database queries and structures (e.g., SQL), knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., R and Python) and familiarity with the M365 suite
• Analytical Skills: Analytical abilities/capabilities to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable process optimization (e.g. rule sets or IT demands) are advantageous.
• Teamwork: Capability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and collaborate with various department
• Communication Skills: Straightforward, good communication skills, both written and verbal, especially acting as an intermediary between technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Visualization Skills: Ability to effectively present complex information
• Effective Time Management: Ability to plan and ensure that tasks are completed on time
