Who is the Controller and the Data Protection Officer?

If you are in a contractual, similar relationship or other proceedings with Deutsche Telekom Services Europe Slovakia s.r.o., Legionárska 10, 811 07 Bratislava, identification no.: 44 921 101, registered in the Commercial Register of the City Court in Bratislava III, section B, file 60118, (hereinafter also referred to as “DTSE SK” or “employer”) is controller of your personal data.

 

DTSE SK attaches great importance to protecting your personal data. We always inform you about personal data that we process in connection with your visit to our websites and participate in our recruiting process.

This document fulfils our general information obligation under the GDPR on how we process personal data (hereinafter referred to as “personal data”). You can find more information about the processing of cookies in the section Cookies policy.

What data is processed (extent), why and how is it used (purpose) and on what basis (lawfulness)?

We also process personal data for purposes related to the selection of suitable human resources, keeping records of job seekers and marketing, analytical and PR purposes, which also include the optimal functioning of the website and its management.

 

For the answer to your query or job application:

We use your personal data to get back to you based on your original contact via our contact form or contact information provided on our website, mostly to react to your queries (based on our legal duties, if we are obliged to answer you, or our legitimate interest to maintain good relationships with the public, if there is no legal obligation for us to answer) and job applications (based on our legitimate interest to select the most suitable candidates for positions advertised on our websites).  
The scope of your data, we process, is mainly set by you, by the data you provide to us. Usually, these are your first name and surname, e-mail address, the address of residence, contact address or registered seat in case of a legal entity, identification number or date of birth and phone number.

In case of a job application, we will process all data you will provide to us in your CV and cover letter and data that you will provide to us later during the recruiting process, e.g. data about your education, work experiences, skills, interests, and references. Furthermore, we can process data you provided publicly about yourself for professional purposes, such as your LinkedIn profile. We use your personal email address to set up an account for you in our onboarding app after the possible acceptance of job proposal. You have no legal obligation to provide your data to us or participate in the recruiting process, however, if you do not provide your data to us, we may be unfortunately not able to provide you answer to your query or include you in our recruiting process.

 

For the provision of our services:

Cookies: Our website www.dtse.sk use exclusively cookies of third-party – Google Analytics. These are small text files that are stored on your computer. They enable the system to tell if you repeatedly visit websites from the same computer. You could grant a consent with the use of cookies when entering our website, in case you did not granted consent, cookies are not used. The content of cookies is under control of the third party. You can adjust your settings at https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.   
For further information go to https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245 .  You can set your browser to prevent these cookies being stored or to delete the cookies at the end of your Internet session. However, please remember that in this case, you may not have access to the full range of functions offered by our websites.

Google may also retain any retrieved data for its own needs in accordance with its privacy policy, which can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Where is my data processed and for how long?

Your data related to the application process will be stored in EU for the period of 1 year after the end of our communication or the recruiting process. Your data related to cookies trackers will be stored for the periods defined in the cookie table.

How secure is my data?

We have taken extensive technical and operational precautions in accordance with law to protect your data against unauthorized access and misuse. Your data will not be subject to automatic decision-making, including profiling.

Will my data be passed on to other entities?

For the answer to your query or during the recruiting process your data will be processed by DTSE SK employees both in electronic and paper form and can be shared with other companies within the Deutsche Telekom AG Group and affiliate companies. List of these companies can be found at https://www.telekom.com/en/company/worldwide. Your data will be be processed in Slovak republic and other European countries. In some cases, your data is also processed in countries outside the European Union (i.e. in so-called third countries), currently for example:

 

Storage/hosting of customer data (excluding traffic data) by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., Google Cloud EMEA Limited, Ireland and Salesforce.com Germany GmbH in Europe. Only administrators with technical support access from the USA are possible.

 

If data processing takes place in third countries, this will take place insofar as you have expressly consented to this or if it is necessary for our provision of services to you or if it is provided for by law (Art. 49 GDPR). Your data will only be processed in third countries if certain measures are taken to ensure that an adequate level of data protection is in place (e.g. adequacy decision of the EU Commission or so-called suitable safeguards, Art. 44 et seq. GDPR. Due to the nature of the positions we are filling and international collaboration within the group, Deutsche Telekom AG Group employees can even participate in the recruiting process.

 

Your data can be also passed to providers of server, web and IT services as processors: Upvision s.r.o.

 

In certain cases, we are legally obliged to pass on data if requested to do so by a state body.
We do not pass on your data to third parties for any other purpose unless you have given express permission.

Data control with the social media plug-ins used

Our website includes buttons for social media networks (Facebook Share button, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram etc.) that you can use to recommend DTSE SK to your friends and family. The exchange of data is not activated until you click the buttons, which loads the respective social media plug-ins. An action (such as liking the page) is not activated until you click a second time. When the social media plug-in is activated, the following data can be forwarded to the social media provider: IP address, browser information, operating system, screen resolution, installed browser plugins (such as Adobe Flash Player), origin of the visitor if you followed a link (referrer), URL of the current web page. The next time you visit the website, the social media plug-ins are again provided in the default disabled mode, thus ensuring that no data is transferred during a repeat visit to the website. 

What are my rights regarding my data being processed?

You can exercise all your rights by contacting us or lodge a complaint by post or by e-mail.

You have the right to:
a) to request information on categories of data processed, processing purposes, possible recipients of the data, the planned storage period (Art. 15 GDPR);

b) request the correction or completion of incorrect or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR); 

c) to revoke a given consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR);

d) to object at any time for the future to data processing that is to be carried out on the basis of a legitimate interest, for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR), stating these reasons. You can object to data processing for direct marketing purposes at any time without stating these reasons (Art. 21 para. 2, 3 GDPR);

e) in certain cases, request the deletion of data within the framework of Art. 17 GDPR  – in particular if the data is no longer required for the intended purpose or is processed unlawfully, or if you have withdrawn your consent in accordance with (c) above or have declared an objection in accordance with (d) above; 

f) under certain conditions, to demand the restriction of data if deletion is not possible or the obligation to delete is disputed (Art. 18 GDPR);

g) data portability, i.e. You can receive your data that you have provided to us in a commonly used machine-readable format, such as z.B. CSV, and, if necessary, transmit it to others (Art. 20 GDPR); 

h) to complain to the competent supervisory authority about the data processing (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov https://uoou.gov.cz/).
